Help save a life!
Did you know 1 in 5 U.S. adults experience mental illness each year? It turns out that 90% of people who commit suicide have experienced symptoms of a mental health condition. And the construction industry has the second highest rate of suicide in the country. It’s time to start talking about mental health. Join us for a roundtable discussion focusing on mental health and healthy ways in which to deal with difficult times as part of the KCHBA’s participation in Construction Suicide Prevention Week. Everyone is welcome – including your staff. Panelists leading this discussion include:
- Tommy Bickimer, President, Bickimer Homes and KCHBA
- Stinson Dean, Deacon Lumber
- Barb Mares, director, Greater Kansas American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Chapter
