SUMMARY: This role is dedicated to acquiring new Pella purchasing accounts for net new business. Drive sustainable growth through identifying, closing and forging strong relationships with new clients.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities of Business Development Rep include, but are not limited to:

  • Detailed knowledge of Pella offerings, ability to present Pella value and benefit to individual company needs
  • Research, identify, and bring on new targeted Trade accounts through cold-calling, networking, and relationship building
  • Manage key accounts to advance Pella partnerships
  • Responsibilities:
  • Increase Pella market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing new business opportunities
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and integrating contract requirements with business operations
  • Attending networking events
  • Maintaining and offering selling resources for showrooms and sales representatives
  • Arranging business meetings and one-on-one conversations with prospective clients
  • Project coordination, Order Verification
  • Establishing relationships and penetrating accounts deeper 
  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Co-branding new accounts with Pella
  • Key Metrics:  
  • Overall growth (ie: New Purchasing Accounts from Target List, etc.)
  • Customer experience & market brand loyalty
  • Heavy HBA involvement and Pella centric association activities
  • New Prospecting meetings weekly and specifically focused on finding new prospects

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in construction related field or equivalent (5+ years) experience
  • Familiarity with building materials industry  
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and generally computer and internet proficient
  • Ability to work within a team environment and communicate effectively and respectfully
