Role and Responsibilities

Are you a decorated sales professional with a proven track record of sales success? Have you shared your tips with other sales professionals and haven taken pride in seeing them succeed? Do you have a minimum 5+ years of success in a field-sales leader role, sales supervisor, sales manager, and or sales team lead? Does it excite you to have the results of a team be determined by your ability to mentor, coach, and train? Do you like to be out in the field with your team members and in the trenches daily?

As a Sales Manager with Pella Products of Kansas City you will manage a team of 5-8 outside sales professionals who will focus on selling in the home with our proven in-home sales process. Our current sales team is ranked in the top 10-15% of sales teams nationally, so we need a determined leader to take them to the top standing in the country. If you have a proven training/coaching process and you are respected by your team(s), we want to speak with you!

We leave it to our competitors to use high-pressure sales tactics. We are a recognized brand in our industry and our customers choose us because our selling process makes it easy for them to buy. Our sales team runs warm leads, so being more efficient with our daily activities is a key driver to the team’s success. We have a culture of coaching, training, and daily results.

Successful Candidates Must:

· Recruit, train and develop the sales team

· Outline career path for sales rep

· Conduct sales appointments in the field with sales reps 3 times a week

· Conduct bi-weekly 1:1 coaching session

· Clearly articulate the team & individual rep goals

· Drive individual sales rep & team to achieve goals

· Improve customer service (internal and external)

· Champion the company vision and goals

· Increase brand awareness in local marketplace by attending Trade Shows

· Provide opinion & insights into local marketing plan

· Set & champion culture within the division

· Positive upbeat attitude

· Develop new processes when necessary

· Champion & facilitate change when necessary

Qualifications and Education Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree is required.

· Must possess a minimum of 5 years of B2C, B2B, or In-home sales experience.

· Must have at least five years of proven sales management experience.

· Must have followed a sales process in the past such as SPIN SELLING, SANDLER SALES TRAINING, PROFESSIONAL SELLING SKILLS, or similar.

· Experience selling in the home strongly preferred.

· Construction knowledge would be a plus; however, we can train.

· Must be a competent Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

· There will be a two-week training program at our headquarters located in Pella, IA. All other overnight travel is limited to once a year in two to three-day training sessions.
