Permitting Slowed in November

In November 2022, 303 single family permits were pulled across the Kansas City regional area, according to statistics compiled by the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City (KCHBA). This is a 42 percent decrease from the 524 single-family permits issued in November 2021, and a decrease of 55 percent in the total number of permits pulled year-to-date compared to 2021.

Two counties, Cass and Miami, showed increases in permitting from 2021 while the other six counties in the reporting area experienced a decrease. Raymore, in Cass county, has issued 107 more permits during 2022 so far this year.
